Margie Gustafson
Margie Gustafson was born in
Iowa, USA. She came to Cape Town in 1970 for a two-year
short-term mission experience. She returned in 1973 to
start her career at Cornerstone Christian College (then
known as CEBI) as a lecturer in Christian Education
ministries and Music and Worship. She trained and led the
PR ministry team, primarily in music, and helped to
co-ordinate other major PR events for the college. In more
recent years she has lectured in the area of Leadership,
Spirituality and Faith Development. Presently she serves
the college through mentoring students, and working with
alumni.
Margie has a passion for encouraging people to understand
and grow in their faith as it applies to the demands of
daily living in a multicultural community. This has been
shared with individuals as well as in weekend seminars and
various speaking opportunities in her own church and
others. She also enjoys reading, calligraphy, and has a
ministry of hospitality and encouragement with students,
staff, alumni and others.
Margie is presently working on putting together the “Story
of Cornerstone” as told through the stories of those who
have passed through the doors of CEBI/Cornerstone
Christian College, to be completed for celebration of the
college’s 40th Anniversary in 2010.
