FEE PAYMENT POLICY

 

  1. Non-Refundable Tuition Deposit.
    R1 000 is payable in December before commencement of studies in order to secure a place of study. This will be applied to the student's tuition fees for the year.

  2. Registration Fee
    Every student must pay the registration fee of R3 000 at the time of registration in order to be
    registered as a student.

  3. Continuation Fee
    A continuation fee of R300 per semester will be charged to students registered for the completion of
    senior project papers or fieldwork. 

  4. Payment of Fees
    Following registration students have the option of settling their account by arrangement   with the finance office, utilising any one of the payment plans stipulated in the listed table of fees.

    4.1. Students are responsible for the full payment of all fees.
    4.2. Students must ensure that they are issued with an official receipt on payment of  
           account.
    4.3. Students who fail to comply with payment arrangements, as per their agreed payment      
          plan, will be granted a grace period of 15 additional days to fulfil payment obligations   
          on the outstanding balance. After this the College reserves the right to withhold certain
          privileges from the student until such time as the full outstanding balance has been
          settled.
    4.4. Should a student still fail to settle his/her outstanding account, the following consequences
    will prevail:

4.4.1    Examination results and the certificate of qualification will be withheld; and
4.4.2    The student will not be permitted to register for the following academic year; and
4.4.3    Admission to the College residence will be refused until the outstanding balance
           (with interest and costs if applicable) has been paid in full.     

 5.   Late Payment Penalties (after 15-day grace period)
      A penalty fee of 5% per month will be charge to all accounts with an outstanding balance               
      beyond 31 October.
 

6.   Refund of Fees

6.1     A non-refundable deposit of R1 000 applies to all registered students.
6.2.     A 100% module fee refund applies if notification of withdrawal is given prior to the     
           1st day of
term.
6.3.     A 75% module fee refund applies if notification of withdrawal is given prior to the 2nd
           week of term.
6.4.     A 50% module fee refund applies if notification of withdrawal is given prior to the 3rd
          week of term.
6.5.      No fees will be refunded beyond the 3rd week of the term.
