My name is
Kaama Matlayane. I am a citizen of Lesotho and a son of a
single mother. I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and
personal Saviour in 2000. I accepted Christ as my Saviour
in a hospital not in the church like most other people.
In 2000 I was
a student in Johannesburg at Vaal Triangle Technikon.
Unfortunately, I went home to fetch some money but I was
severely assaulted and then admitted to hospital. The bad
news is that the assault was very intense to such an
extent that I remained in a coma for a week.
The good news
is that the assault made a divine appointment for me to
meet Jesus. The doctors were explaining to my parents
that my condition was hopeless and that I was going to
die. My family stood up and prayed for God to grant me a
second chance. One day, very early in the morning I found
that I was unable to breath but my mind was functioning.
I could feel that I was going to die. This time I could
see that no one could help me because the nurses and
doctors were asleep. I had to commit my entire life to
the Lord accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
I recovered,
and after I was discharged from hospital I attended a
Pentecostal Church that taught me about salvation through
Jesus Christ. After a couple of years I became a youth
leader in the church responsible for youth outreach
ministry. Amazingly, I received a pastoral calling from
God but could not comprehend it. I was promoted in the
church from youth leader to attend Tsepo Christian College
in Lesotho in the church called The Heralds of God. In
2006, I enrolled at Cornerstone Christian College and
today I am a third year student graduating 2009
I believe God
has called me for missions because he declared this in his
Word. I am completely convinced that I am called for
missions after all the modules that I have studied this
last three years. I am majoring in psychology and
theology and will be in my final year 2009. My intention
is to go back to Lesotho, my beloved Country to implement
what I have learned at the college.
To God be the
Glory forever and ever! |
